Lovely to hear that Jennifer Saunders is dedicating her writing of the the new Spice Girls musical Viva Forever (openng at Piccadilly theatre in Nov 2012) to her 3 daughters. Jennifer reported that ” I got the call and I said ‘Yes, I’d quite like to do that’. Because I’d hate someone else to do it and mess it up… I did it for my girls because it meant so much to them growing up. And we’re all such big Spice Girls fans. I did it for them.”
Talking of the Spice Girls Simon & I are off to London tomorrow for the Viva Forever launch party, so we’ll give you a full run down of it on Wednesday. Plus, on Weds evening we’re going to watch a preview of Chariots of Fire at the Gielgud theatre with its unique staging where an actual running track has been built in the auditorium.
