Hi Theatre-goers
Very, very, very exciting news to report today – the National Theatre’s hugely successful The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time will transfer to the Apollo theatre next March following a sell-out season at the Cottesloe theatre.
Adapted from the 2003 award-winning novel, The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time is famously told from the perspective of a child with behavioural difficulties as he sets about to discover who killed his neighbour’s dog, Wellington.
Original cast members already confirmed are Luke Treadaway reprising his role as 15-year-old maths genius Christopher Boone; Matthew Barker, Niamh Cusack, Sophie Duval, Rhiannon Harper-Rafferty, Nick Sidi and Howard Ward. There will also be an alternate “Christopher” and further casting to be announced.
Directed by War Horse’s Marianne Elliot, with Olivier Award-winner Bunny Christie’s striking geometric grid design it was an instant hit with audiences and the production set a new record when its NT Live broadcast was watched by more than 40,000 people in the UK.
I absolutely loved the book and I’ve heard great things about this production from friends that have been lucky enough to see it at the National, so I’m really, really looking forward to seeing it myself next year.
Curious Incident Theatre Breaks will be available to book on our website soon. So make sure you have Theatrebreaks.co.uk logged as a favourite and keep yourself up to date with everything that is happening in the theatre – London and beyond!
Have a great weekend everyone
