Hi theatre-goers
Good news for those of you who didn’t want to “put Baby in the corner” as Dirty Dancing the Musical returns to the West End having toured the UK extensively for the last two & half years.
Snake hipped Johnny Castle, Frances “Baby” Houseman et al will have the time of their lives as they make their way back to London and will open at the Piccadilly theatre on 13th July. The show currently in production at the Piccadilly is the ill-fated Spice Girl inspired Viva Forever! which is closing early at the end of June.
Dirty Dancing first proved a hot hit when it opened at the Aldwych theatre back in October 2006 featuring a musical score of smash hit songs from the 1960s, amazing choreography and state of the art set design, the show entertained audiences for over 5 years before taking to the road to visit regional theatres across the whole of the UK and returning to many of the venues by popular demand.
And now it seems, that Londoners want the musical back for themselves with advance sales already looking extremely healthy!
Have a great Monday everyone…
Sara
