The sun has come out again in the South East of England which always makes me feel like getting out and doing fun stuff with my friends.
Here’s my top three favourite attractions…
1. Warner Bros Studio Tour : The Making of Harry Potter – Leavesdon, Herts. A very quick train journey out of London, if you’re staying in the capital, or a good range of reasonably priced hotels in and around Watford area – a visit to the huge film studios where all 9 Harry Potter movies were shot is an amazing adventure whether you are a Potter fan or not. It will take you approximately 3 hours to walk around, but there is no time limit on your stay. All the staff are very friendly, very helpful & very knowledgeable – children are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite HP character.
2. Ultimate London Break : includes a flight on the London Eye, tickets to the London Dungeons, Sealife London Aquarium and Madame Tussauds. Yes, you can fit all four fantastic attractions into 48 hours (or more if you want a longer stay in London – why not book a West End show as well?) and with 3 of the them right next to each other, you’ll not be wasting time walking around trying to find venues. See panoramic views of London on the London Eye, dare to visit the newly housed London Dungeons, marvel at the wonders of the world’s oceans in the aquarium and then mix with the stars of stage, screen, sport and music at Madame Tussauds which includes the spectacular Marvel 4D experience. Phew, you’ll need to book another break to relax after all that excitement!
3. Legoland Windsor: My favourite of all the themes park around London, it has rides for all age groups and lots of other activities to see and do. If it’s a hot day, remember to take the kid’s swim things as there’s a splash park in the Duplo part of the park. A really, really fun day out whether you are 6 years old or 60. Hotels on site or in neighbouring Ascot, plus just 10 minutes drive away is the impressive Windsor Castle and if the flag’s flying it mean Her Majesty’s at home!
