Another trio of delightful poems from last weeks crop encouraged me to have a go myself!
Remember, Remember,
Theatre in November:
It’s easy to book and you can do it with friends
Remember, Remember,
Theatre in November:
See The Mousetrap, but don’t tell how it ends!
Remember, Remember,
Theatre in November:
Musicals are great if you like stories in song
Remember, Remember,
Theatre in November:
My favourite is Cats but I don’t sing along
Keep ’em coming!
“Tread the Boards” by Joanna Burns
As he treads the boards
Silence falls…
He commands the stage
Shadows of light
creative breath
hypnotising, mesmorising
Energy sparks
of electric
dance around him
“Show, oh go on!” by Carol Ann Coldicott-Stirmey
To see a show is always refreshing
The cast, the lights, such a blessing
The show must go on, I must go too,
During the interval, I hate queuing for the loo!
“A night at the Theatre” by Paul Brear
An actor in their perfect part
The audience wait for the show to start
The lights go out the music rises
The people wait for the nights surprises
The tale is told
The audience sold
They all leave heart and soul aglow
Can’t wait to see another show.
