21/6/12 Return of UK Arena Tours

Hi Theatre-goers

You have been busy bees this week. Yesterday the phone didn’t stop ringing with requests for all manner of theatre breaks ranging from War of the Worlds to Singin in the Rain.

In fact, was so impressed when I started reading about War of the Worlds that I booked tickets for myself & kids to see it at Wembley Arena in December. It has a hologrammed Liam Neeson (taking over the role of the Journalist created by Richard Burton 33 years ago), Kerry Ellis, Ricky Wilson (Kaiserchiefs), Jason Donovan and Marty Pellow (Wet Wet Wet). Very, very excited!

Also yesterday in a fit of mad spending booked to see the Arena tour of Jesus Christ Superstar at the O2 in September.  Ummed & Ahhed over taking children this time (they have seen a local operatic society’s production of it) but decided in the end to make it a grown-ups only trip. I just LOVE this music SOOOO much. I have the 1973 LP featuring Paul Nicholas as Judas (I think this was the first  West End show I went to see at the Shaftesbury Theatre) and the utterly moving DVD released in 2000. As you can see, I’m a bit of a fan.

Other shows you booked yesterday were Jersey Boys (still ever popular), Shrek and 9 to 5 in Edinburgh.

I’ve got plenty to do today with more requests for hotel breaks plus the phenomenally popular Warner Bros Studios Tour : The Making of Harry Potter – you can’t get enough of that and I don’t blame you … it’s BRILLIANT!

Have a good Thursday everyone. Don’t let the weather get you down and to all my lovely Czech friends out there ‘C’mon on Czech Republic!’ (it’s topical at least)

Sara
